Okay, so I’m back home from the hospital and thank you for all the well wishes! As all you moms know, with a newborn there’s a lot of sitting around time so I’ve been able to conquer that stack of catalogs sitting beside my bed. So I might be a little late to the game, but I’m also in major kid mode so thought I’d share what I’m loving from Land of Nod’s July mailer. I like to look at these magazines for kid room inspiration but also, for grown up spaces, too. As Tessa mentioned her in PB Kids post, lamps, rugs and light fixtures are often cheaper at kids stores and look just as great.
Here are a few of my favorites:
How can you go wrong with a striped rug in your house? A kitchen, bathroom, kids room, nursery or a playroom.
This one is still a top contender for the baby’s new nursery–now that I know it’s a boy, I’m making some changes. I also think it would be great in a dining room. And it’s a steal for even the 8 x 10 size.

A play table that has great design! Seriously, this looks like you could find it at Design Within Reach. Or, use it as a desk.

Or, this one would be killer in a living room. Reminds me of a Jonathan Adler design.
I have been looking for something like this FOREVER for my kids’ rooms. These would be great to put beside their bed to keep all of their favorite books. I also think I would like one hung up in the bathroom to store kids books…what can I say, my kids enjoy reading books while going to the bathroom.
Oh, how I wish they made these in King size.

This is stylish laundry solution for a grown-up room or a kid’s room.
And, my FAVORITE find….this would look great in an entryway and at 159.00, it’s a steal compared to other “Sputnik” orbit pendants on the market. I just wish it was sold in gold.
So remember just because it’s a kids catalog doesn’t mean it can’t lend itself to decorating grown-up spaces, too. Let us know if you’ve used any Land of Nod products in unexpected places.
