I love the mix of woods, pop of subtle color against the subdued walls and of course, the mix of modern and traditional. The settee at the end of the room is brilliant because it can be pulled up along one side of the table for extra seating by moving two of the white director chairs to the heads of the table. Although this room is pretty perfect, an inspiration shot doesn’t always have to be copied exactly how it appears. Here’s my take on how to recreate the look and feel…
The biggest difference between the two rooms is how I chose to bring color in through the art on the wall instead of the furniture. Also, I added a slightly more traditional feel to the mix thanks to the tufted settee, but kept the overall comfortable, yet interesting and pull-together look of the inspiration shot.
