Modern Southwestern Decor

Someone’s enjoying himself….

We are still away soaking up the Arizona sunshine and enjoying every minute. I’ve been spending my days by the pool daydreaming about living here during the cold Chicago winters.  Although Southwest decor is not my favorite–it can feel so dark and heavy–I definitely think there is a way to lighten the decor by bringing in natural materials, a variety of textures, and of course some cowhide.   Most importantly, make sure to try and stay away from dark colors all over the room and mix in some unexpected colors and patterns to keep it fresh.
