Nothing excites me more than when we hear from a reader that has been inspired by a post to do something. I have to admit, sometimes I feel as if I’m writing into a dark abyss and then out of nowhere someone will comment on a post and I’m always shocked. To this day, I’m still surprised my mom even reads this on a daily basis. Now, if I could just convince my dad!
A reader, Lisa in California, recently sent me several photos of decor in her house that our blog had inspired. Tessa and I were so flattered that we could help someone from so far away make some design decisions. Lisa was able to take one of my favorite budget-friendly design ideas of using a screen and incorporate it in two rooms of her house.
Below is a photo of Lisa’s reading nook in her master bedroom. She didn’t want to cover up those gorgeous windows but needed some privacy since these windows are in their bedroom. (Btw-don’t you LOVE the ottoman!)
Tessa preached her love here for this screen and I originally had it in my guest room but then we moved it to Tessa’s guest room. (As you can imagine our husbands love it when we move furniture back and forth between our houses!) Lisa opted to use the screen to divide the room and create some privacy from all of those windows.
And, she loved it so much she used it in her guest room, too!
This screen is still available at Cost Plus World Market.
Also, a big shout out to BabyList for including William’s nursery photo onto her sheepskin rug nursery trends. See photos here.
We’d love to hear how our blog has inspired you around your home!
