Yesterday,we showed you the beautiful home of Lauren Weisbarth. Today, I’m showing you a few ways you can get the look in your own home. After seeing this home–I am definitely craving a more traditional decor with just pops of unexpected modern pieces.
1. The fabric in the family room is a bold blue floral pattern. Using a mix of floral and striped fabrics in the same color makes pairing easy and still an updated traditional mix. A good choice is Waverly Tucker Resist Indigo combined with Waverly Etienne Indigo. An abacus chair is a staple that never goes out of style and mixes well with any decor.
2. I loved the unexpected pieces in Lauren’s kitchen. By far, my favorite piece of furniture are the kid’s ghost chairs and tulip table. I was pleasantly surprised to find a good selection of modern ghost chairs for kids online including this child’s chair. Although, the tulip table would be quite an investment piece for your kids, you could substitute a white Ikea Lack table for a way cheaper, but still modern look. The normally traditional wall library light is so unexpected in a kitchen which gives it a more modern look. This one is similar if not the same one used in her kitchen. These would look great installed on built-ins in a family or living room as well.
3. This chandelier is gorgeous! Super pricey yes, but honestly none of the knock-offs look as good. Other options might be a simple crystal chandelier.
4. The wallpaper adds a graphic contemporary feel and because it’s green amongst all the blue, another unexpected feature. Simple nailhead dining chairs are always a perfect choice and go with anything including this fabulous bright buffet.
5. This triple gourd table lamp is a classic choice and a great pop of color (these lights are great because they’re available in so many colors); a photo frame in a chevron pattern is an easy on-trend add and pairs well with all the other personal little touches you can pick up on Lauren’s sister’s site One King’s Lane!
Enjoy the weekend and we’ll be back on Monday!
