Every year I am always envious of families going away for the 4th of July. But, I’m married to a local who would not think about missing his hometown parade. I’m not quite sure I think it’s worth the hype (people here put their chairs out four days early to secure a spot!) and he often argues with my parents about whose hometown parade is better. Alas, I try to make the best of it and one thing that helps the most is Tessa always hosts a fabulous party after the parade.
Here are a few things I think would add a little flair and fun to any outdoor party:
Keeps the food protected but looks great, too!
Great idea for serving vegetables and dip.
Healthy snack for the kids.
Amazingly cool and refreshing!
These are perfect for keeping those darn gnats out of drinks.
Dress up a plain white lantern with festive ribbon and rick rack.
Sponge tag is a must for any outdoor party! Click on the photo for a tutorial on how to make these sponge balls.
Enjoy this holiday week with your family wherever you might be!
What adorable and practical ideas — love them!! I also saw these cute watermelon shaped Rice Krispie treats which I thought would be perfect for your next 4th of July party or summer BBQ:
