Our 100th Post!

Okay, not really–we just realized we’re a few days late!  But, in honor of hitting the big number we thought it would be fun to reflect a bit on our blog. Remember our very first post?  110 posts in and we both still feel that we would pick these rooms again!

Amy’s Pick:

We hope you have seen how our styles has been reflected in our blog posts. It’s been fun thinking about how we wanted to (on a daily basis–yikes!) to share what inspires us in the hopes that we will, in turn, inspire each of you. Our goal in starting this blog was to really make design approachable for people. We heard from so many of our friends that they loved the rooms they were seeing in magazines, but felt overwhelmed when it came to actually executing. Hopefully, we’re living up to the goal of providing you with inspiration that is also attainable and affordable.

We welcome any suggestions and post ideas you would like to see more of ie: organizing spaces, two perspectives, trends, resources, our own houses, featured homes, etc. Please let us know what we can do better/more of/less of, etc! And, we recently launched a Facebook page so you can like us and get post updates, inspirational pics, links to resources, etc.

  1. I’m the mom of two busy little boys. As the cooler months are approaching, I would love to get some tips on how to organize winter accessories (mittens, scarves, hats etc). I realize there is plenty of variability in terms of where these items are stored. My storage area is in a closet. Any advice?

  2. Congratulations to you both on your 100th+ post! You and your blog have definitely inspired me these past few months to restyle my shelves, organize my pantry, add fun touches and splashes of color to my family room, make updates to my guest room, laundry room, etc.! I LOVE your blog and can’t wait to read it each day — keep up the good work!!

  3. congratulations, girls! i was thinking it might be neat for you guys to pick a great room pic from a mag and then point out what it is that makes that room so amazing to you, e.g. coordinated pops of color throughout room, scale, texture, etc. i can often spot an amazing room, but have a hard time figuring out how to make such an impact in my own space because i don’t even know what it is that i LIKE about that space. you know?
