Target did it again–another great designer, Nate Berkus, debuted his new home collection yesterday in Target stores. I’m assuming you all know who Nate Berkus is, since in the design world he is as popular as candy is to kids and let’s just say he’s also some easy eye candy for us grown-ups! I first became familiar with Nate while watching Oprah several years ago, he seemed charming and I found his design tips to be very practical and budget-friendly. So when I heard that his new line would be in stores yesterday I wrote down ‘Nate Berkus‘ on the family calendar in the morning time slot and told my husband that nothing was getting in the way of me scoring some home decor accessories. I even carefully planned the perfect Target location thinking it would be best to go to a larger Target store rather than my smaller local one. So Sunday morning I went to church (I had to put this in here in case my mom is reading-brownie points for me!) and then drove straight to Target only to find this:
A lame display with only a few items left on the front shelf and two lamp bases on the sides. I was so disappointed…
I was SO hoping to pick up a pair of these cute bowls starting at 7.99. I even looked online but of course, everything was sold out and this was only two hours after the store opened!
If I would have been lucky enough to snatch these up, I wanted to drill a hole through the bottom and turn these bowls into a light fixture like this.
This branch lamp was in previews everywhere last week but it was nowhere to be found in the store.
Instead the only lamp to be found was this one:
Not quite as cute as the branch one in my opinion.
Here are some of the other items in his line that I would have loved to see but unfortunately these items were gone:
First, my absolute FAVORITE item in the collection is this little box with snakeskin on top. It would have been perfect sitting on my nightstand to hide my bedtime essentials.
I’m loving this color of towels right now…
I’m not a huge fan of this shower curtain but the bathmats remind me of the Dash & Albert diamond rugs that are triple the price of Nate’s line.
Oh, how I love these aztec charcoal sheer print drapes. They would be in harmony with the gray walls in my living room.
I’m very into anything blue these days. Cute little fabric covered tray to catch all of that mail you have been meaning to open.
This gold pillow paired with the navy blue is stunning together.
Supposedly, Nate has over 150 items available at Target and supposedly, they are going to restock. Target if you are reading: Please don’t let me down.
But this post isn’t all bad news, keep checking back for another AWESOME giveaway later this week.
the day before you posted this i was in target and snatched up a similar box for my bedside table (it’s snakeskin all around, with that same brass grommet detail) and i almost got the branch lamp but hesitated because i have nowhere to put it right now. probably should’ve just pulled the trigger and figured it out later! love that blue pillow with the little tassel-y jingle jangles…would look great on my bed perhaps?
Send me a photo of the box you found. Is it from the Nate Berkus line? Yes, I think those pillows would look great on your bed.
Thanks for the reminder that Nate’s line was at Target! I went tonight and snatched the last 2 branch lamps (no shades though) for my living room and some accessories. So happy! I’m surprised, but the Novato, CA Target still has several items left!
So jealous you were able to pick up the branch lamps! Send us photos of them in the room.
Boo-hoo, I missed out on everything –rural Nova Scotia has not been informed of him — just yet!
Did you see the partnership Target is doing with Neiman Marcus for the holidays launching December 1? It’s not as adorbs a collection as Nate’s, but not too shabby still 🙂
No, I didn’t know about the partnership between Target and Neiman Marcus. Thanks for passing on.
LOL! How disappointing! I love the catch-all tray though. Very cute.
