Orange has always been one of my favorite accent colors. I personally love mixing this warm color with a cooler color palette, but I think it’s one of those colors that works with every color.
Here are some photos of great rooms decorating with accents of orange.
I think people tend to shy away from using orange and black in the same room but I think this is the perfect balance without looking too much like Halloween. I think the key is to add small touches of orange and keep the rest of the room very neutral.
I love this room with the pop of orange on the ottoman. It looks so great paired with the teal pillows and the grasscloth wallpaper really grounds the room and balances the vivid color.
Not only do these orange chairs look great, but I’m also loving the arrangement of using four chairs vs two couches facing one another. Who doesn’t love to sit in their own space and not worry about sinking into a couch right next to someone.
These stairs are a huge statement, but I think the painted stripe above the baseboards makes it work. I don’t know if I would have enough courage but I love them.
Even simple touches of orange such as these storage boxes brighten up this otherwise dark room. I’m really into the gray and orange combo these days. And, aren’t those corner bookshelves such a great way to use the space.
Once again, black, gray and orange. I don’t think I would ever get tired of this combo and the headboard is beautiful with the white piping.
If you do decide to branch out and bring a little orange into your home, here are a few good accessories:
Such a nice warm color of orange…almost close to a sweet potato color.
I think this would be great in a kitchen for a nice pop of color.
I love finding pillows made on Etsy…inexpensive and so many fabrics to choose from.
So cute for storage in a kid’s playroom or bedroom.
A nice throw to bring in a small dash of orange.
Love these sheets and would pair them in a girls room with pink.
Cutest office accesories! They sell these at Container Store but I couldn’t find them online.
The key to decorating with orange is to use as a pop of color in a room. It’s way more flexible as an accent color than a primary color in the room.
I can see I am not alone in loving orange! Great post!! Thanks!!
Love orange. Just bought a grey down vest lined with orange
