Thanksgiving Tablescapes

So, yesterday we talked about dining tables and today we’re going to talk about how you might decorate the tops of those tables this Thanksgiving. Here are some favorite ideas I’ve seen…

Love the idea of using fresh herbs and foliage on the table–rich colors and beautiful scents

Branches will last longer than fresh flowers so pair some with candles for an easy and affordable fall look. These work well in the room below because they’ve created interest with a patterned table cloth and have rich colors (check out that blue wall in the background!) throughout the room

Another affordable option is to use candles in various sizes. They’ll last longer and you can just replace what’s around the candles to match the festivity. These nuts could easily be replaced with cranberries, glass marbles or pine cones.

If you’re going for a more formal look, here’s a beautiful option that would go the length of your table…would be critical to have your food served elsewhere though since this arrangement isn’t really conducive to family style eating!

Taking a more glamorous approach, the idea of mixing white and gold accents is perfect–this is also a great option if you live in a warmer climate

Or, inject a little black into your table–always a sophisticated choice!

Invest in some nice hurricanes and you’ll be able to use them over and over again by just transitioning the objects around them

  1. I just picked some beautiful “weeds” from my neighbour during a late evening stroll. I love them. Will try to post tomorrow. Your suggestions are always so workable.
