On Friday I popped into TJ Maxx–it’s hard not to when it’s literally five minutes away from my house. I have to be honest, the store completely overwhelms me at times, so when I go I keep my visits brief and usually do a quick glance. Lately, I’ve found their “furniture department” is becoming more organized and it’s not quite as overwhelming as their clothes areas–definitely a necessity for a girl like me to feel in her comfort zone!
Here are some of the things I saw that are worth pointing out…
I fell in love with this chair and if I had a place in my home it would have been mine in a heartbeat. I love the tufted back–I love anything tufted. The front legs have tiny wheels on them which made it an Anthropologie look alike. The back on this chair is relatively short which would make it a great piece for a front entry or a chair in a corner of the room. And by the way, that’s a Diane Von Furstenberg pillow, a little small for this chair, but let’s focus on the important part: who knew TJ Maxx carried her stuff!
An adorable tulip(ish) table. I was thinking about getting this for my daughter’s room.
This lamp reminds me of Jonathan Adler lamp designs.
This too looks like a Jonathan Adler lamp and the lampshade is a great burlap texture.
This linen box is exactly the same as one that Restoration Hardware sells in their stores but of course it’s half the price here.
While I’m not crazy about the fabric I can’t resist this spindle chair–you know we love them because they’re such a classic choice.
So bright and cheerful…great for a breakfast nook around a rustic wood table or even as an office chair.
Oh, the spindle chair!! Too bad I’d want to reupholster it immediately (sounds like you feel the same).
Such great finds at TJ – it’s my second home! I’m pretty sure I keep them in business. (I’ll reupholster the spindle chair for you!)
It is one of my go-to places when visiting Evanston…kind of in a funny location, but I always find something! Great finds Amy!
