Friday Home Feature: Corbin Bernsen’s Eclectic Home

So, I’m writing this on Thursday night–Throwback Thursday as apparently it’s now called all over the Internet. Well, I’m not about to post my awkward 12 year old picture, so instead, I’m throwing back to a late 80s TV star LA Law’s Corbin Bernsen. His family’s Southern California home was featured inĀ Country LivingĀ earlier this year andĀ is a beautiful mix of vintage and kind of industrial pieces to create a really comfortable, eclectic feelĀ .

Huge, fabulous table in the kitchen–the mix of metal and rustic wood reminds me of the live edge table and steel chairs we featured last year

This entry set up is AMAZING. In fact, it was this picture that actually drew me to the home and seeing more of it. How unexpected is that hanging pendant lantern in lieu of a traditional lamp?? Then there’s that steel/marble table–want it now. Even love how the painting is hung off center. It all just adds up to such a cool look. Throw the dog in and well, it can’t get much better.

Perfect mix of modern in the faucet and traditional in the tub–reminds us that you can really mix things up and have them look great.

And you know I’m a fan of all things Canadiana including the Hudson’s Bay Company blankets as seen in Bernsen’s sons’ room. Curtains are always an affordable and stylish solution to creating privacy.

Have a great weekend everyone! Happy Father’s Day to my own dad and my husband who are both the best dads around! And today is Amy’s birthday so HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMY!! I won’t be making you a princess cake, but hope you have a day fit for a princess…or at least one where you get a little respect from your kids and get to enjoy that Homer’s hot fudge sundae.
