The major reason Amy and I started this blog was so that we would (hopefully) inspire people to try new things in their home. We felt like what we see in the magazines and on a lot of design blogs is really beautiful, but it’s not always easy to see how you can translate that into your own space. So, we love hearing from readers who have taken on a home project thanks to something they’ve read here!
Remember this kitchen nook post? Well, we were so happy when Briscila emailed to say she’d been inspired to create a breakfast nook in her own kitchen!
Here’s the inspiration shot from our post–
And here’s how Briscila translated that into her own kitchen
She was also kind enough to supply all the sources for her room:
Table–IKEA
Benches–IKEA; Bench cushions were made by Briscila using hard cardboard from Home Depot, foam and fabric from a local fabric store and a staple gun!
Chairs–Room & Board
Pillow covers–Etsy
Art wiring–IKEA (as you know, a favorite of ours for every room!)
Thank you Briscila for sending us your pics and allowing us to share them with everyone!
