I can’t believe it’s March and I’m still wearing my winter coat! I’m insanely jealous every time I log onto Facebook and see everyone’s photos of themselves at some beach resort soaking up the sun. So to cheer myself up, I went looking for the place I would want to visit for Spring Break. I’m craving simplicity and quiet moments, and I think I found my perfect place….
Let me introduce you to Amangiri— a quick getaway to this resort would satisfy my appetite for some hot sun. This beautiful resort is tucked within the remote valley in the middle of the Four Corners-the area of the Southwest where Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona all meet. The swimming pool is built around a 165 million-year-old Entrada sandstone rock escarpment and let me tell you, one of those daybeds around the pool is calling my name.
AMAZING!
The desert lounge—I can feel the hot sun on my face as I look at this photo. Oh, wait it’s just the steam from my cup of tea as I look out the window at the 20 degree weather. Love the chunk of wood for a coffee table and the simplicity of the lounge.
Seriously!!! The view from the bed must be stunning. I LOVE the sliding doors out to the balcony.
Hmmm…I was right. The simplicity of the room including the concrete walls feel so fresh to me. Because the room is so simple you would focus on the beautiful surroundings outside.
The tiles, double shower, bathtub, and the view……..
Can you imagine sleeping outside with the stars? How incredibly romantic!!
Hope you enjoyed a few minutes of dreaming….now it’s back to reality and to the kitchen to make snack for three kids. Tessa and I will be around all week and have some great posts lined up.
