Um, yes, you read that title correctly…stay with me… I can’t step inside an Urban Outfitters store without almost overdosing on hipster. BUT, I can sure shop online and if I quickly bypass the undersized rompers and cheap plastic sunglasses, I make it to the “Apartment” tab and start to feel a little more in my comfort zone.
Remember this shot from a home feature we recently did on a renovated Victorian here in Evanston? Well, we got a bunch of questions about the curtains and the source? Urban Outfitters!
They’re called the Zigzag Curtain:
Urban is perfect for finding fun, trendy items at affordable prices. Here are a few faves right now:
The shape of this Cantilever Lamp is amazing–picture it next to a nice upholstered chair in a reading corner
This Magical Thinking Diamond Tile Rug has the feel of a way more expensive designer rug like a Madeline Weinrib.
Love the shape of this Sapphire Chair (although in all honesty, I’d rather see brass nailheads on this!)
A little metal side table like this Concentric Metal Side Table fits in every home
In fact, all the items I’ve picked so far would look great together!
Urban is also great for bedding and accessories. I’m about to hit “buy” on this Around the World Letter for my son Will’s nursery gallery wall
Don’t fret tough, they still have those tapestries that I remember so well from my college days. I actually kind of like (shiver) this Atlas Tapestry one and think it would look great in a playroom
Did I just say that an Urban Outfitters tapestry would look great in a playroom?!? Man how times have changed.
Can hardly wait to hire you to do our new digs!
Love those curtains!
