Just got back from a great weekend in Sonoma with best college girlfriends. Stayed at a great VRBO and had an amazing weekend celebrating a dear friend’s pregnancy (twins!) My husband and mother-in-law held down the fort while I was gone–so fun to get away by myself! While I was on the plane, I read the October Lonny Mag and one of my favorite sources for inspiration doesn’t disappoint. So, grab your morning coffee (or maybe lunch at your desk) and check out their latest issue. Here are a few of my favorite images…
This kitchen is so beautiful. First those gorgeous windows with black window panes set the tone and keep things so open. Always a great idea to bring in a bright persian rug and I love the contrasting colors in the pendant lights.
A powder room is always the perfect place to go for a dark paint color.
LOVE this desk/chair combo used in a little girl’s room
What I love about this picture as an inspiration shot is that it shows how you can set up different seating areas in a large room. They’ve done a great job creating different conversation/lounging areas and filling up the room.
This little girl’s room is so simple, neutral and warm feeling.
Adore this outdoor play area. In Chicago a lot of people have “yards” on top of their garages in the city and this would be a great solution–fake grass, some potted plants…
This “living room” is in Jessica Alba’s Honest offices. What I pulled from the pic is 1) how she filled the large wall and 2) that while there are general rules for furniture placement on rugs, they’re lose and a room can look great and pulled together without having to worry about the number of legs on a rug!
I totally agree. It was one of my absolute favorite issues. I’ve already read it twice and I can’t stop 🙂
