Happy New Year everyone! I was so looking forward to getting back into a routine with school starting back up this week, but no such luck! Although, kids are going back to school today. Usually this time of year I am furiously cleaning out every closet because the kids are back at school and I finally have the house to myself. However, with kids still at home the past two days I have been hanging out in the playroom, on my computer, looking at beautiful spaces and pretending to be engaged in watching my children play. Open confession here!
Some Wild Kratts (have you seen this great kids show?) episodes yesterday and my youngest taking a nap led me to a few minutes to check out this beautiful house featured on Apartment Therapy!
So many things about this room that I adore: gallery wall, library lights above the bookshelves, black door and the casual feel of the room.
This Ventana 2-Tiered Chandelier by Jonathan Adler is still one of my all-time favorites and is such a good juxtaposition to the molded Eames chairs.
Love how they’ve turned part of the living room into a functional entryway. The built in’s with bench seating is a great way to separate the space.
This photo is the photo that caught my eye to take a look at the rest of the house. That floor! And, I love the mix of fabric patterns and colors.
You can see more photos of this beautiful home, here.
By the way, I found this recipe for snow ice cream yesterday. God knows we have enough snow to use…..might be a fun activity for the kiddos if you catch yourself with another snow day!
I am in love with your living room. And your dining room. More pictures, please! 🙂
LOVE this house. Thank you so much for sharing. There is some great inspiration here.
Glad you love it, too! Definitely one I’m filing away.
