Hope you all had a great weekend. Amy and I have started a new project–a master bathroom renovation so we’ve got bathrooms on the brain. Such a fun project!
One of the things we’ve been considering is whether or not to have two sinks in the bathroom. The default in master baths is to do two sinks, but that eats up a lot of your counter space…and if you really think about it, how often are two people really using their sinks at the same time? So, in the interest of freeing up as much counter space as possible, we’ve been talking to our clients about doing just one sink.
I’m not a fan of the heavy, masculine finishes in this bathroom, but it’s a good example of a single sink set up
Here’s a great choice is you need more sink, but like the idea of just one. Actually think that despite the large size, this would look fine with one faucet.
Would you ever do just one sink in your master bathroom? We’ve consulted a real estate agent who says it’s not an issue with resale in this area, but we’d love to know your thoughts!
we use our sinks at the same time all the time, so I’d never go back to just one again. but every couple is different and if you’re sure you’ll be using them separately, then one works! I do love the look of the long sink with two faucets, though it eats up a lot of potential counter space in the middle. excited to see what you two come up with!
I love the one sink and two faucets. I think most people fight over the mirror more than the sink, so as long as you’ve got a big mirror I think you are in good shape.
