…well, not really so don’t panic, Evanston. But, seriously all this talk of the beach this week makes me want to pack it (specifically the winter) in and move out to the left coast…well, southern part of the left coast, unlike Amy, despite the sheer beauty of the city, I’m not a fan of the constant 60 degree temps in SF. So I’ve been looking around for my dream beach abode…I think I’ve gone to real estate heaven.
I think I’m leaning toward a beautiful Nantucket style family home perched high in the hills of Palos Verdes with panoramic views.
Imagine ending your day with this view…
And starting your day running down these stairs…
But, alas, this magnificent place isn’t for sale so I should probably look for what’s actually ON the market. I’d rather have a place right near the beach anyway. And why not dream of this one being sold fully furnished with top of the line finishes–and all done by Chicago interior designer Tom Stringer–it’s fate!
Don’t you just adore this ceiling and how it provides such a beachy, almost cottagy feeling in such a modern space.
Each room flows beautifully into the next.
Ok, you’re right a little excessive, best to settle for something a little more modest. This one is on the market for a mere 5.85 million. SOLD! 😉
Comfortable, open concept living
I love how the family room doors open to a patio–inside/outside living at its best.
Now that I think about it, how could I leave Illinois? I’d actually miss those days when it’s 20 degrees, I’ve spent 20 mins getting two kids into snow suits, I close the door behind me to go to the garage and realize that I’ve locked my keys inside…yup, I’d miss those days…
oh, how i wish this dream could come true!
all beautiful homes.
I take offense to the dig about SF weather. 😉 Loving the blog… it’s keeping me inspired!
