I’ve been thinking about doing a few ‘mini’ projects in my house (if my husband is reading this he should just stop reading now before he starts having anxiety) and to help me organize my thoughts I decided to go back and look at one of my ‘ideal’ inspiration room photos. Remember our very first post?
I still love this inspiration shot…
This room was designed by CWB Architects and I recently stumbled upon a few more spaces they designed. Here are some of my favorite photos.
I WANT and NEED that ottoman in my living room!
I think it’s important to look at photos for inspiration but also be able to decide what EXACTLY you like about the photo. I’m not fond of the fabric/rug choices but I think the bookshelf styling is spot on.
The furniture placement in this room is the perfect balance. I love the two small ottomans in front of the fireplace and you can’t go wrong with two couches flanking each other in a room. Remember, when figuring out furniture placement it’s always best to think of the space in question as square and place the furniture accordingly. Most people tend to leave both ends wide open, but by placing furniture at each end it creates a cozy environment.
Great example of built-ins not the same size to frame a doorway.
Hello, beautiful dining room chairs!
I adore those wide wood planks in the entryway.
Perfect homework center station. Hmmm…wondering if I could do something like this in my ‘office‘ area?
ADORABLE playroom wall–how cute is the toddler doorway???
Enjoy the weekend and we will see you on Monday!
So many great ideas here which are applicable to up-going renos…
