Holiday Mantel

Between decorating Gingerbread houses and putting lights up outside, I finally managed to finish my mantel.  I chose not to purchase anything new this year and I didn’t even want to buy garland for my mantel so instead I just used old decorations and the tree clippings to decorate.

And of course I waited until 9:00 pm to take these photos so they are very dark, although let’s face it, the whole day is dark now that Winter is here.

The mirror on the mantel is one I have up throughout the year.  Rather than take it down, I decided to just add a little ‘bling’ to it so it fit with the rest of the decor.

The little white birds are from Cost Plus and the silver reindeer are from Pottery Barn.

The silver ornament wreath is one that I made last year and later this week I will give you step-by-step directions if you want to make one of your own.  It’s very easy to do!

I purchased these glitter trees at TJ Max.

For those of you “keeping score at home” you’ll notice only four stockings, poor third child, I don’t even have a stocking for him.  Is it wrong to wait until after Christmas when they go on sale to order one for him?  He’s only four months, he will never know….unless he reads this blog someday!

We would love to see photos of your holiday mantel & decorating, so please send in!
