What We’re Loving at Cost Plus World Market

We were having our weekly company-wide meeting yesterday morning (so basically Amy and I going to breakfast and talking about the blog/writing while our kids are in school) and ran into Cost Plus to grab some cheap Valentine’s Day treats for the kids. They’re having a big furniture sale and there were lots of great pieces we thought we should share…the sale ends February 3rd and the prices are really good.

Here are some of the things we saw that we thought were worth pointing out…

This side chair would brighten up a bedroom

What about this mirror for an entry?

Amy adored this little navy tufted dining chair–tufting is so big right now and these are so affordable that you could bring in a couple at the heads of your dining table

This is the perfect little side table to squeeze in next to a couch

Or this little side table is almost exactly like the coffee table in Sally Armstrong’s gorgeous family room that we featured last week–at 50% off such a steal!

Looking for a smaller scale leather club chair? This is the perfect accent to a home office.

Oh, and they had some really fun pillows (you know how we love our pillows!) like this ikat one that comes in this pinky/orange color or more blue/green tones

Going into one of their stores can be a little overwhelming–lots of choices, things piled up so you really have to make an effort to look at pieces individually to see their possibility. Also, remember they often have “additional savings” coupons sent to you if you sign up for their Explorers program. I just got a bed for my daughter Madeleine’s room at the furniture sale for 30% off and then an additional 15% off with an email coupon.

  1. It is one of those stores where you go in and at first glance (often because things are literally everywhere…) it is hard to locate what you want, but they have such an eclectic choice, there is always something very nice, something funky!
