Desk in the Bedroom a Do or a Don’t?

Every sleep expert agrees–get your work out of your bedroom so the bedroom is no place for a desk. But, let’s face it, they say that about the TV too and how many of us fall asleep to that every night?? Plus, for many of us, it’s just a necessary evil since we might not have another private/quiet space to do our work. So, if you are going to do it, here are some ideas…

A window is always a great place under which to put a desk–that way when you are working in your bedroom, you’re looking outside and not at your bed!

With limited space, you could have a side table play double duty as a desk…but let’s be honest, you could get a laptop on here and not much else so not for the serious home worker!

This is a practical use of a smaller closet (as long as you don’t need it for clothes) that essentially creates a small office in your bedroom–you see a lot of inspiration shots like this for kids’ rooms,but nice to see it could work for adults too!
