Pendants Light the (Hall)Way

Last week, Amy featured pics from Style Me Pretty’s coverage of blogger The Doctor’s Closet home. Remember that black and white beauty? One of our favorite features was the long entry hallway with those perfect pendant lights.

Pendant lights are the perfect way to create a statement in a hallway. A pendant is expected as a single in an entry, but matching ones down a hall are like a little unexpected surprise.

Ok, this is one hell of a hallway, but those lights would work perfectly (in a slightly smaller scale) for our layman hallways

Convinced to try ditching the cans??

Related to this only because they have great pendant lights, if you’re local to Chicagoland and haven’t tried Hoosier Mama Pie in Evanston, run there now…and seriously run, because you’ll be consuming so many calories you’ll feel almost as badly as the pie is good. The design of the place is fabulous and the pies are amazing–we had the chicken pot pie which was the best I’ve ever had (not really creamy and loaded with chicken) and the orange cream pie for dessert.  SO good.

  1. love the hallway pendant idea and that one above the stairwell really makes me want to get something dramatic up in mine. thanks!

  2. I have been debating whether to do some small pendants in my hallway (even bought them already but haven’t had the guts to put them up). This post has inspired me to DO IT!! Will send before and after pics — so excited!!
