So many of our friends have decided to have their kids share bedrooms–either because they need to or because they just love the idea of their kids bunking up together. Here are some great shared rooms for girls…
This is a great idea if you have a large room and can create two very separate spaces with the practicality of a large piece of furniture dividing the room–so fun how there’s enough elements in common that the room feels cohesive, and the colors all work together, but two little girls have their own spaces.
Another great example of creating privacy for each child within a bigger space. I also like that each child has some personal storage space and a light.
This is a clever idea using built-in storage to create more privacy. I would have done built-in sconces on the inside of each cabinet facing the bed so each little girl can read as long as she wants!
This room by Cristin over at Simplified Bee is very cohesive with the matching headboards and rug that goes under both beds, but creates individuality through the use of different patterns in pillows and art work.
I love the idea of two daybeds in a shared room–that way each child has their own lounging and sleeping area. The storage under the bed is practical. I would have done two bookcases back-to-back with shorter lamps for each child…
You can always go for a more matching look like in this teenagers’ room–this contemporary look is very unisex. Great idea to put a little couch in the room for older kids.
