Denim-Inspired Interiors

When I can pull myself out of yoga pants, my uniform is jeans and a T-shirt. This spring, I’m partial to a distressed, skinnier fit boyfriend (hoping my stylist friend Jennie approves!) like these ones from 7 For All Mankind which are just about the perfect shade of blue for spring dressing.

I’m also totally into wearing a chambray shirt with jeans! Yup, embracing that trend in full because it makes life easy in the morning. I just throw on a patterned scarf and a cute pair of flats  to break up all the jean. I love pulling denim into home decor as well…

How gorgeous is this front door?

I’d mix this look up a bit with some contrasting colors–maybe more white and some yellow, coral and navy in lieu of the purple blue they chose for the lights and duvet cover (I know, completely different look, but just stating my preference!)

Here are a few easy ways to bring a little denim blue into your home…

Bedding from Serena & Lily is some of our favorite (and of course don’t miss those sconces and wallpaper!) and they have some gorgeous blue options right now that remind of a soft, worn pair of jeans

S&L also has this Harper Denim Rug

You know I love the Emily and Meritt collection from PB Teen and I love the juxtaposition of classic tufting and contemporary fabric in this Denim Chaise Lounge

Maybe a little much for you? Get a similar look in this Denim Glam Vanity Stool. This would make a great ottoman in front of a modern, clean lined chair or pull up a couple of them to an art table for kids–denim looks even better a little distressed!

It’s also a great option for outdoor furniture this summer like this Highland Patio Lounge Chair

This simple Square Dye Stripe Kitchen Towel in Denim is only $14 and reminds me of the classic jeans and white t combo and gives you a taste of the look without a commitment!

I am having a “thing” with blue right now. I really love it! Those closet doors are so gorgeous. There is a house in my neighborhood with the perfect blue front door and I recently met the owner. Of course, she is fabulous, the door said it all! and I must check out the blue wallpaper you linked to at Home Depot. Best, Beth
